Which one of the "Little Women" are you?
Quizzes for MySpace

One of my favorite books as a young girl and today is "Little Women". I did not, like my friends way back when, go on and read the whole series, by Louisa May Alcott, I just read Little Women, and left it at that. This book is just perfect, by itself. It makes me think of my childhood, in someways, as we did not have much money, or things, per se, but we survived on everyday happenings, and laughter, and imagination. Well, I know I had imagination. Maybe too much.
I wish the young girls of today would read this book and others like it, because it is a book about love, and loss, and fulfilling your potential. Maybe a few will, even if there aren't any vampires or anime characters in it. Oh, well, my mini-rant for the day, I guess.

Ahh, yes! Little Women---written back in the good ol' days, when men were men, and the women were damned glad of it!

Figured this was better than comparing myself to one of the "little women!"

One of my favorite books when I was younger was Charlotte's Web. Probably where I got my love of pork chops....lol;)

Little Women was actually two books. I learned that last year when I read them. (I was only 58, so why not?!)

But it only made one movie (several times), and that's why we all think of it as one story.

Look at this, Deb! See what happens when word gets out---it's just a matter of time before "The Rat" whips you with his intellectual tail!(It took me 3 tries to spell intellectual, and I still think it looks WRONG!)

"Little Women is a novel by Louisa May Alcott published on September 30, 1868, concerning the lives and loves of four sisters growing up during the American Civil War. It was based on Alcott's own experiences as a child in Concord, Massachusetts. After much demand, Louisa May Alcott wrote a sequel, Good Wives, which was published in 1869". Wikipedia

So there, it was one book, Rat, and the others were sequels.

Goddess, I saw where they are making a movie of Charlotte's Web. That was a favorite of mine too.

Yeah, I think it's out right now, Just Me. I think Julia Roberts lends her voice, along with other celebs.
