Does John McCain think the women of America are lunatics? In what appears to me to be a last ditch effort to save his campaign, good ole John has picked Alaska governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate. He might as well have sent every registered female voter an email stating, "Ok, honey, will you vote for me now??"
It is ridiculous and patronizing to think that the women of America can be persuaded to vote the Republican ticket just because there is a female on the ballot. What do we know about Sarah Palin? (Well, before today, anyway!!) Unless you are from Alaska, probably not much. Other than the fact that she's not quite sure exactly what her duties will be as vice president: “until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day. I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here.”

Is anybody else out there holding their face in their hands, and saying, "Oh, my God...that sounds like something 'you know who'* would say?" I don't know about you, but I can't take any more of that shit. I just can't.
I imagine somewhere tonight in the McCain camp, a few people are shaking their heads in utter amazement, wondering, what the hell was he thinking?? And of course the people hired to "handle" George Bush are salivating at the hope that they may not lose their jobs after all. "Hey guys, quick packing! I think we got another live one here...!!"
Give me a break.....

Her party seems to have found her NOW. Till now no woman was even mentioned let alone contested in the primaries.
It's a cheap shot. But good. Let's AT LEAST get the jokers out of office.

I have never heard of her before this. Isn't she a soccer mom or something. Second in the state beauty pageant. There's a reason to vote for her.
The thing that got me I guess is that when I first heard the name, all I could think of was Micheal Palin, who of course, I associate with Monty Python. Then I thought, they are going to pick Monty Python for VP?? What the fuck?? (Pardon moi francais)It is so freaking bizzare!! He could have picked Ron Paul (which also makes me think of a tall black transvestite for some reason...)
