About last night's Debate....

Personally, I would love to see the two presidential candidates just answer the questions given them directly and in as much detail as possible. We already know they don't want the other guy to win, or as McCain puts it, "that one". And very disrespectful it was. And, I did not find this amusing at all:

["BROKAW: Senator, we have one minute for a discussion here. Obviously the powers of the treasury secretary have been greatly expanded. The most powerful officer in the cabinet now. Hank Paulson says he won't stay on. Who do you have in mind to appoint to that very important post?

Senator McCain?

MCCAIN: Not you, Tom."]

It made absolutely no sense, and was totally uncalled for.

I had so much trouble just following McCain's seemingly constant movement around the stage. You could almost hear his coaches saying, "Get as close to the questioner as you possibly can." I cringed when he just assumed the man who asked the second question probably hadn't heard of Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae before.

Whoever gets in the white house will have a crap-load of problems to sort out, and that's just a fact. McCain's offer to buy up mortgages and refinance homes under current market value has a long way to go before it becomes fact. And just where do you think the money will come from for that? I mean, seriously?

China; it's where all our money comes from.

I try, but I just can not make myself watch the debates. They are useless, and don't end up providing me any useful information. Instead, I research their methods, (their madness?) and the way they have voted on issues in the past.

I'm really pissed off at myself. I didn't know the US debate was on. I watched Criminal Minds instead. Oh wait a minute. Maybe that WAS the US debate. HA!

Woozie: That and toothpaste and cat food!

Craze: I agree that you can't really judge these candidates solely on the debates. There is too much recrimination.

Leah: Yes, you just might have been watching the debates...did one of the people wander aimlessly back and forth until you wanted to hit him with a fly swatter?

SJ: I know this is probably boring to you. Its just such an important campaign, probably the most important of my lifetime, anyway...
